Splurge and Save: Workout Time

I'm a very simple girl when it comes to what I wear when I workout. I like my leggings, sneakers, sports bra, and a top. All inexpensive. Except my shoes, but those were a gift. I'm working my ass off, sweating like a pig, probably smelling horrible. So why would I spend a ton of money on workout clothes that I'm basically destroying? I have no one to impress at the gym. And, really, you shouldn't be trying to impress anyone but yourself at the gym. And that's not based on how you look, it's based on how H.A.M you can go while you're there. Anyways, the "save" look puts $275 back in your wallet! This could buy you 4 or 5 pairs of Nike's! Save on your clothes, invest in your shoes!

July's Empties and Reviews

I'm not sure how it happened. How did I only use up 3 products this month? I mean I know how I could reason the fact that I didn't use up any makeup. It's way too hot outside to waste my makeup when it's only going to melt off anyways. But I was sure that I was going to use up more than this. Maybe I'm just getting more fiscally responsible and trying not to waste product. Yeah, we'll go with that. Well anyways, here are the 3 products that I used up this month and my thoughts about them!

My Empties This Month:

I have a love-hate relationship with these products. I love the smell and the idea that it's organic. But I can't stand how my hair feels afterwards. I like to think that I have pretty nice hair. Soft and silky. But when I would use this, my hair would feel dry and stringy and would be a hot mess of knots and tangles. I wanted to love this product. I really did. But I just couldn't deal with the fact that my hair turned into a hay stack every time! Hopefully the experience is different for you guys, but as for me, I don't see myself repurchasing these products anytime soon. 

I seriously LOVE this body wash. No joke. It makes your skin feel soft and silky! Every time I used it I felt as if I was taking the most luxurious shower at the most expensive spa in the most beautiful place on earth. But alas, I was only in my tub. Of course what caught my attention first was the word "sparkle" on the bottle. I like sparkles. I like to sparkle. I would like to bathe in sparkles. The scent is fresh and floral but doesn't really stay on your skin. Which I'm totally fine with. I want to smell like my perfume anyways. I'm not a fan of mixing scents. I would definitely repurchase this product and then stock up on it when it goes on sale! Bargain hunter! You can find this at your local drugstore or, like me, your local grocery store.

Tutorial: Sunset Eyes

When I first did this look, I fell in love with it! I was so excited to be able to use bright colors that perfectly reflect summer time. It's not often that you get to use colors like yellow and orange in a makeup look. But I feel that this look is perfect for a lunch date or going out for the night! Very versatile. Ready to see how I created this fun look? Keep reading!

1. Ulta Eyeshadow in Honey Bee
2. Ulta Eyeshadow in Mimosa
3. Ulta Eyeshadow in Cherry Bomb
4. Ulta Eyeshadow in Sable
5. Ulta Extreme Wear Gel Eyeliner in Primetime
6. Sephora Le Waterproof Mascara
7. Mark. Brow Factor Brow Gel
8. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
9. ELF Eyebrow Kit in Medium
10. Urban Decay Primer Potion 

Steps:

1. Prime your lids with the Urban Decay Primer Potion.
2. Using your ring finger and the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, buff in just enough to cover your lid.
3. Using an eyeshadow brush, cover your lid with a matte yellow shadow.
4. Using an outer v shadow brush, blend a shimmery orange shadow over 3/4 of your lid. 

5. Using the same outer v brush, take the hot pink shadow and shape the outer corner of your eye going slightly into the crease.
6. Line your eyes with the gel liner and wing it out.
7. Add 2 coats of your favorite mascara.
8. Go be sexy. 

Now you have a fun and colorful look that you could wear out to lunch or even out to dinner!

Whenever Briam and I go to a theme park, Disney World mostly, I always like to wear something comfortable. I want to look nice, but if I'm going to be spending 10 hours walking around a park, you better believe that I will be comfortable. My favorite thing to wear while at theme parks is leggings. Beauty Army Unboxing: July 2013

I know it's only been 2 months that I've gotten the sample boxes from Beauty Army, but I truly feel like I can say that they are beyond amazing! Their product choices are outstanding, the shipping time is great and precise, and I still love the packaging! I saved the white box from last month and now use it for my business cards for Chloe + Isabel! I saved this month's pink box to keep all my samples in. Drugstore Beauty Haul (Ulta and Walmart)

Okay, I admit it. Sometime I can go a little crazy in drugstores. Okay, really crazy. I seriously can't help  it. At first I tell myself, "You only need one thing, grab the lipstick and get out!" But then, some many new things catch my eye. And I HAVE to have them. It's a problem. Really, it is. But I'm working on my compulsion to buy makeup. Trying to tone it down a bit. With that being said, here is my haul from the drugstore part of Ulta and my trip to Walmart!

My Skin Care Routine (Updated: New Products!)

My skin has been through a lot over the past few years. I had pretty bad acne when I danced because we were always in stage makeup and, honestly, I was horrible at taking my makeup off. Then going to college, I was beyond stressed and my skin took its toll. Finally, I've found a product that keeps my skin clear and is completely worth it's price. My skin savior is Proactiv. I love this system! From the first time I used it, I could tell that my skin was clearing up. Not only is my skin extremely clear, but my scarring and discoloration is fading. I'm so happy with Proactiv. 

The three piece system is so easy to use! 

These are the three little extras that I like to use! The Green Tea Moisturizer is great when I need just a touch of extra moisture! Normally I need this around my nose or around my lips when they get dry. The Refining Mask is great for shrinking my pores and zapping away any unruly pimples that decide to ruin my life. I love the Planet Spa Soothing Eye Treatment. Although this isn't a Proactiv product, it works great along with it. My eyelids tend to get dry so this product helps keep them smooth and soft!

I love a bright and colorful dress for summertime. Especially for vacation! I've already talked about how much I love wedges, but when you're on vacation and you're doing a lot of walking you want to be comfortable. So wedges it is!
